National prevention program of thalassemia started in 1998 and to encourage carriers to dispense marriage with increasing their knowledge was its main strategy. This study was designed to determine the effectiveness of thalassemia prevention program on couples knowledge and carriers and marriage avoidance in Gorgan province- Iran Materials&Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the data were collected by the questionairs which their validity and reliability were already confirmed. The sample population consist of 282 couples which were going to get married 107 couple with minor thalassemia which cancelled their marriage during 1998-2003 were also included in the sample poulation in this research. The detailed study were carried out on whole subjects. Data were entered into the SPSS and analyzed by chi-square, t-test and ANOVA. Results: In 282 couples, mean age was 20.5 on women and 24.86 in men, 57.8% were urban residents, 39.4% were relatives. Most of men had self-employed job and women were house keeper and half were under high school diploma. Distribution of knowledge level: 2.5% weak, 9.2% moderate, 53.2% good and 29.1% excellent. Relationship between knowledge and educational state, residency and job was meaningful (P<0.05), and there was not any relationship with age, gender and familial relativity. Ten couples were carrier that two of them were avoided from marriage. Also 43% of 107 carrier's couple whome were diagnosed in 1998-2003 avoided to get marriaged, meaningful relationships between subjects residency, education status and relativity (P<0.05). Conclusion: In spite of having a good knowledge, but some of the samples population in this study, did not show a suitable practice and most of high risk couples enter into marriage. چکیده فارسی مقاله زمينه و هدف: تالاسمی شايع ترين اختلال ژنتيکی است که آمارها از وجود 2 تا 3 ميليون ناقل و 20 هزار بيمار تالاسمی ماژور در کشور حکايت دارد. از سال 1376 و با اجرای برنامه کشوری کنترل تالاسمی، مشاوره و ترغيب زوج های مينور به انصراف از ازدواج با مشاوره و افزايش سطح آگاهی ايشان به عنوان استراتژی اصلی پيشگيری کشور انتخاب شد. اين مطالعه با هدف تعيين اثربخشی طرح پيشگيری از تالاسمی بر افزايش سطح آگاهی زوجين و انصراف زوج های ناقل از ازدواج در شهرستان گرگان انجام شد.روش بررسی: اين مطالعه از نوع مقطعی و ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات فرم اطلاعاتی و پرسشنامه ای محقق ساخته بوده که روايی و پايايی آن تاييد شده بود. نمونه ها برای سنجش سطح آگاهی شامل 282 نفر از زوجين در شرف ازدواج بودند. همچنين 107 زوج مينور، شناسايی شده طی سال های 82-76 نيز از نظر انصراف از ازدواج مطالعه شدند و در هر دو بخش عوامل مرتبط نيز بررسی شد. تجزيه و تحليل داده ها با نرم افزار SPSS و با استفاده از آزمون های کای دو، تی و آناليز واريانس صورت گرفت.يافته ها: ميانگين سن 282 زوج مورد بررسی در خانم ها 26.5 و آقايان 24.86 سال به دست آمد. 57.8 درصد ساکن شهر و 39.4 درصد خويشاوند بودند. اکثر مردان دارای شغل آزاد و اکثر خانم ها خانه دار و نيمی از نمونه ها نيز زير ديپلم بودند. سطح آگاهی 2.5 درصد ضعيف، 9.2 درصد متوسط، 53.2درصد خوب و 29.1 درصد عالی به دست آمد. ارتباط سطح آگاهی با سطح تحصيلات، محل سکونت و شغل معنی دار بود (P<0.05)، ولی با سن، جنس و خويشاوندی رابطه معنی دار آماری مشاهده نشد. از 10 زوج ناقل شناسايی شده تنها 2 مورد (20 درصد) از ازدواج انصراف دادند. همچنين بررسی 107 زوج ناقل سال های 82-76 نشان داد، 43 درصد آنها از ازدواج منصرف شده اند که اين موضوع با خويشاوندی، محل سکونت و سطح سواد مرتبط بود (P<0.05).نتيجه گيری: با وجودی که سطح آگاهی نسبتا خوب بود اما عملکرد زوج ها مناسب نبود و درصد بالايی از افراد ناقل همچنان به اين ازدواج های پرخطر تن می دهند. کلیدواژه‌های انگلیسی مقاله Thalassemia, Prevention, Knowledge, Pre-marriage consults کلیدواژه‌های فارسی مقاله تالاسمی، پيشگيری، آگاهی، مشاوره قبل از ازدواج صفحه آغاز مقاله در نشریه ۶۸ صفحه پایان مقاله در نشریه ۷۲ نشانی اینترنتی http://www.goums.ac.ir/journal/browse.php?a_code=A-10-1-93&slc_lang=fa&sid=fa فایل مقاله فایلی برای مقاله ذخیره نشده است نویسندگان مقاله 4294---4295---4296--- برای برگشت به بخش مقاله‌های منتشر شده اینجا را کلیک كنید.
